1. Type in your UMMail username & password.

 

 

I. UME-Learning How To Start Using UM E-Learning (For first time users)

3. Fill in the required information in part A marked with *

 

4. Click Modify button

 

*To start using UM E-Learning, lecturers must create their own course/portfolio.

 

There are two ways to create your own course/portfolio:
A. Auto create course/portfolio by using Fetch Course function – for courses listed in UMISIS

ü Recommended: Create courses officially offered by UM (registered in Integrated Student InformationSystem-UMISIS)
** This function is not available for Faculty of Medicine and Faculty of Dentistry courses.

ü Using Fetch Course function will allow lecturers to:

o         Create the courses they teach in an easier way;

o         Get updated list of registered student for the current semester;

o         Get the course information provided in Student Information System.

ü Please refer to Guide_on_how_to_Fetch_Course

 

B.      Manually create a new course/portfolio

 

ü             For Faculty of Medicine and Faculty of Dentistry courses, or for courses not officially registered in Integrated Student Information System, users have to create the course/portfolio manually.

üPlease refer to Guide_on_How_to_Create_Course_Portfolio

 

5. Click My Portfolio Icon

 
 


6. Click New Portfolio Button

6. Click Fetch Course Button

(for courses listed in UMISIS)

 

 

ü        After successfully creating the course, you can start managing it: Click My Portfolio icon, choose the course title, and click MANAGE button.

ü        To start using any module in the course, from the left side menu, click the module manager link, e.g. Document Manager, to upload notes/documents into your course. Refer to Guide on How to upload notes.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

II. UME-Learning How To Restart Using UM E-Learning (To Manage Created Course)

 

4. Click Manage button to access the Course

 

3. Click My Portfolio Icon

 

 

5. To Add Course Material, click the selected Module Manager from the menu

 

* Click Users Manager to get List of registered students

 

* Click Load User Manager to get the updated list of students from UMISIS
